Welcome to the website of BSN - Bulgarian Society of Neuropathology

The Bulgarian Society of Neuropathology (BSN) was re-established in 2004.

Main aims of BSN are:

• Higher quality of neuropathological diagnostics, new standards for Neuropathology in Bulgaria, collaboration between all specialists in Bulgaria involved in neuropathological diagnostics;
•  Organization of courses for  pathologists concerning different topics in Neuropathology;
• Attracting young trainees and showing them the fascinating world of neuropathology;
• Contacts with other Neuropathological Societies;

BSN is a member of the European Confederation of the Neuropathological Societies (EURO-CNS);

Head office of BSN is the Neuropathological Laboratory at the University Hospital “St. Ivan Rilski” – Sofia;

Every MD, basic scientist, or medical student with interest in Neuropathology is welcome to become a member or associate member of BSN.

Local News   International Events     Stara Zagora Meeting'08 A meeting of Bulgarian pathologists will be held in the town of Stara Zagora (autumn 2008) with one of the main topics: Neuropathology. CNS Tumors course - Sofia, 19-21 Oct A short course focused on CNS tumors is organized from 19th to 21st October at the Department of Pathology, University Hospital “Alexandrovska” – Sofia. _ Course in Neuropathology, Bucharest (21-23 May'07) After a kindly invitation from the Romanian Society of Neuropathology Bulgarian pathologists and medical students took part in the basic course in Neuropathology, held in Bucharest (21-23 May, 2007).
